The intersection of millennial pop culture and millennial-old history has officially reached its commercial peak.
Following the announcement of their landmark collaboration, the National Museum of Korea (NMK) and YG Entertainment have revealed the official “Heritage Collection” for Blackpink’s third EP, Deadline.

This exclusive merchandise line is designed to reflect the group’s “radiant present” while paying homage to the national treasures they are currently championing as audio docents.
Unlike standard concert “tour merch,” this collection leans heavily into the “K-heritage” aesthetic, utilizing traditional motifs, materials, and artisan techniques to create a premium retail experience for global “BLINKs.”
Scheduled for release alongside the exhibition on February 27, 2026, the collection will be available exclusively at the museum’s main gift shop and through a dedicated pop-up store located in the “Path to History.”
To prevent the overcrowding and resale issues that plagued previous K-pop retail events, NMK has implemented a one-item-per-person limit on the most sought-after pieces.
This collaboration marks a significant moment for the state-run institution, as it seeks to turn the estimated 100 million global Blackpink fans into lifelong patrons of Korean history through the medium of high-design souvenirs.
The Heritage Lineup: Reinterpreting National Treasures
The core of the merchandise line is the “Artifact Series,” which draws direct inspiration from the eight national treasures for which Blackpink recorded audio guides.
The standout item is a Limited Edition Celadon Incense Burner, designed with a subtle pink glaze that mimics the “Pink Lighting” event currently bathing the museum’s exterior.

This piece is a modern reinterpretation of the Goryeo Dynasty ceramics found in the museum’s permanent collection, featuring a minimalist “BP” logo etched into the base. Other key items in the “Artifact Series” include:
- Pensive Bodhisattva Keyrings: Miniature resin replicas of the iconic Gilt-bronze Pensive Bodhisattva, finished in a matte “Rose Gold” to honor the group’s signature color palette.
- Gwanggaeto Stele Scarf: A high-end silk scarf featuring a digital print of the Gwanggaeto the Great Stele’s ancient inscriptions, intertwined with the tracklist of the Deadline EP.
- Bird-Wing Hairpins: Traditional ornamental hairpins based on the Gold Ornament in the Shape of Bird Wings, the Silla Dynasty treasure that served as the primary aesthetic inspiration for Jisoo’s solo contributions to the project.
For fans looking for more practical items, the “Modern Muse” sub-line offers functional goods that bridge the gap between museum culture and everyday life.
This includes Mother-of-Pearl Phone Cases (produced in collaboration with CASETiFY) and Tradition-Inspired Stationery Sets that utilize Hanji (traditional handmade paper) embossed with the lyrics to the lead single, “GO.”
The agency noted that the album captures “irreversible peak moments and the group’s most radiant present,” and this merchandise is intended to serve as a physical vessel for those fleeting, historical moments.
The Spotify Connection: Exclusive Perks and Digital Integration
Recognizing the role of digital streaming in modern fandom, Spotify has joined the collaboration as an official partner, offering exclusive perks for the merchandise rollout.
Fans who participate in the Pre-Listening event on February 26- exclusive to Spotify Premium users and Naver Reservation holders- will be granted first access to a “First Edition” merchandise set.
This set includes a Transparent Vinyl Edition of Deadline with a cover featuring the National Museum’s architectural facade illuminated in pink.
Furthermore, the museum is integrating digital interactivity into the retail experience. Each physical item in the Heritage Collection comes with a NFC-enabled “Certificate of Authenticity.”
When scanned with a smartphone, the certificate unlocks a personalized “thank you” message from one of the four members and a high-definition digital scan of the artifact that inspired the item.
YG Entertainment characterized the project as a convergence of “a K-pop act that has written its own chapter in global music history and a museum representing Korea’s cultural identity.”
By combining physical craftsmanship with digital innovation, the NMK X Blackpink merchandise line has set a new standard for how national institutions can engage with global pop icons to preserve and promote cultural heritage in the 21st century.
