Blue Protocol: Star Resonance has released a major content update, expanding its in-game world with the newly added “Starland” map while simultaneously kicking off a crossover event with the TV anime Shangri-La Frontier. The update reflects a broader push toward live-service engagement, combining new environments with time-limited collaboration content.
The headline addition is Starland, a visually vibrant island designed around carnival-style activities and social interaction. The map emphasizes a lighter, more festive tone compared to traditional questing zones, offering players a space built for exploration, mini-events, and continuous in-game engagement rather than combat-heavy progression.
Running alongside this update is the Shangri-La Frontier collaboration, which launched on March 19, 2026. The event introduces a variety of limited-time items inspired by key characters from the series, including Sunraku, Emul, and Psyger-0. Among the featured rewards are Sunraku’s Staring Bird Mask, Psyger-0’s Antinomy Great Sword, and character-themed outfits based on Emul.
The collaboration extends beyond wearable items. Players can also access themed in-game menu items as well as exclusive furniture designed for Adventurers’ homes, integrating the crossover into both gameplay and customization systems. A new key visual featuring Sunraku, Emul, and the player’s Adventurer has also been released across official social media platforms to promote the event.
The collaboration is scheduled to run for a limited duration, beginning March 19, 2026, and ending April 22, 2026. Players will need to participate within this window to obtain the exclusive content tied to the event.

Looking ahead, the game has also confirmed a second collaboration with the TV anime FAIRY TAIL, planned for May 2026. As part of that event, characters from the Wizard Guild “Fairy Tail,” including Natsu and Lucy, will arrive on the planet Regnus. Further details about this upcoming collaboration are expected to be shared through official channels at a later date.
Overall, this update positions Blue Protocol: Star Resonance to sustain player interest through a combination of new content zones and recognizable anime partnerships, a strategy commonly used in live-service MMORPG ecosystems to drive retention and periodic re-engagement.
