Former NCT member Taeil, who was indicted last year on charges of special quasi-rape under South Korean law, has had his first trial date postponed.
Originally set for May 12, the trial will now begin on June 18, according to the 26th Criminal Division of the Seoul Central District Court.
The charge of special quasi-rape refers to engaging in sexual activity with someone who is unconscious or otherwise unable to resist.

Taeil is one of three individuals implicated in the case, which first came to light in June 2024.
While the court has not publicly disclosed the reason for the delay, speculation suggests that security concerns may be a factor, especially as former president Yoon Suk Yeol’s trial is reportedly scheduled for the same day.

In a related update, Taeil was recently spotted socializing at a bar, a detail that has sparked online discussion given the nature of the allegations.
This case remains under heavy scrutiny, both for its legal implications and its impact on the idol industry.
