After three years of eager anticipation, Netflix has officially confirmed the return of one of its most popular Korean series, All of Us Are Dead.
The streaming giant revealed on July 23, 2025, that Season 2 is officially in production, complete with an exciting mix of returning cast members and fresh faces.
The original season took the world by storm when it premiered in January 2022, garnering praise for its thrilling take on a zombie apocalypse set in a high school.
With its gripping story, emotional performances, and high-stakes action, the drama became an international hit, cementing itself as one of the standout entries in the K-zombie genre.
Now, the fight for survival continues — but this time, the horror expands beyond the walls of Hyosan High School and into the heart of Seoul.
Returning Cast: The Survivors Are Back
Leading the returning cast is Park Ji Hu, reprising her role as Nam On Jo, one of the core survivors from Season 1.
In the new season, On Jo is trying to rebuild her life as a college student while carrying the emotional trauma of the deadly outbreak at Hyosan High.
However, her new beginning is quickly shattered when signs of a renewed zombie threat begin to surface in Seoul, dragging her back into a nightmare she thought she had escaped.
Park Ji Hu, known for her nuanced and emotive performances in dramas like Concrete Utopia, Little Women, and Spring of Youth, is expected to bring further depth to On Jo’s character as she transitions from trauma survivor to leader.
Yoon Chan Young also returns as Lee Cheong San, a fan-favorite character presumed dead in Season 1’s explosive finale.
Having gained recognition from roles in Hyper Knife, High School Return of a Gangster, and Delivery Man, Yoon’s return confirms fan theories about Cheong San’s survival.
His storyline promises to explore how he managed to escape death, and how the events of Hyosan have changed him.
Another crucial return is Cho Yi Hyun as Choi Nam Ra, the half-zombie who walked away from the group in the first season’s final moments. Her unique condition and inner struggle between humanity and her monstrous instincts set her apart from others.
Now, she’ll be facing a new kind of threat as Seoul becomes the next epicenter of chaos. Cho Yi Hyun is currently starring in the romantic comedy Head Over Heels, but fans are eager to see her step back into the darker, more emotionally complex role of Nam Ra.

With recent performances in Branding in Seongsu and Family Matters, Lomon is gaining more attention as a versatile rising star.
New Additions: A Bigger World, New Faces
Joining the original cast are several promising young actors set to breathe new energy into the series. Lee Min Jae, acclaimed for his role in Weak Hero Class 2, will play Ma Ru, a senior at On Jo’s college.
His character is expected to be a source of wisdom and strength, playing a vital role in the group’s survival strategy as the new outbreak unfolds.
Kim Si Eun, who has appeared in Squid Game Season 2, is cast as Ju Ran, a popular and sharp-witted student who becomes a key player in the unfolding crisis. Her presence adds both charm and tension to the new group dynamic.
Another exciting addition is Roh Jae Won, a rising star seen in Daily Dose of Sunshine and multiple seasons of Squid Game.
He takes on the role of Han Du Seok, the leader of a National Intelligence Service task force dedicated to controlling the outbreak.
His character brings a new government and action-thriller angle to the narrative, suggesting that the sequel will expand its world-building and themes.
Lastly, Yoon Ga Yi, known for her roles in Love Scout and Undercover High School, joins as Jong A, a bright and outspoken college student whose frank attitude provides moments of levity and realism in dire circumstances.
