Manga Mavericks Books has revealed its Spring 2026 publishing lineup, revealing seven upcoming manga releases that include five brand-new series and two additional volumes from ongoing titles. The North American publisher shared the details in a press release highlighting its continued push into manga publishing and its focus on bringing diverse Japanese stories to English-language audiences.
The new releases will roll out between March and June 2026 and cover a wide range of genres, including fantasy, science fiction, supernatural action, comedy, and horror. The lineup reflects the publisher’s goal of offering varied storytelling styles while expanding its catalog of digital and print manga titles.
One of the most notable new series is Horon of the Closed Country, a fantasy drama by Sen scheduled for digital release on March 31. The story centers on a mysterious god that protects an ancient land from outside threats but demands sacrifices to maintain its power.
As the god becomes increasingly involved in human affairs, only individuals known as Quietists, people with special abilities, can oppose it. The narrative follows three characters who have each lost something important and set out to uncover the truth behind the god, the Quietists, and the sacrifices tied to their past.
Also arriving on March 31 is The Pipe Machine, a digital release by Takuji Umihara that bundles the first two volumes. The series blends science fiction and comedy with an eccentric time-travel premise.
It follows Saburo, a seemingly ordinary boy whose life takes a bizarre turn when his father invents a time machine shaped like a giant smoking pipe. After testing the machine, Saburo is transported into a strange universe populated by robots, space captains, and mysterious allies, launching a fast-paced adventure filled with surreal humor and unexpected encounters.

On April 28, Manga Mavericks Books will release Ballet Hero Fantasy, an action-adventure manga from veteran artist Takafumi Adachi. The story combines ballet with tokusatsu-inspired heroics.
It follows Dan, an aspiring dancer who struggles to match the talent of his upperclassman, Steven McRae. Steven secretly travels through a magical mirror to another world where he becomes a heroic defender. When Dan accidentally follows him, the pair find themselves drawn into a larger conflict where dance and combat intersect in unusual ways.
Launching on the same day is Divine Messengers & Demonic Guardians, a fantasy series by the Koukoku Brothers. The story takes place in a divided world consisting of a heavenly realm inhabited by angels and a dangerous wasteland below populated by demons.
A group of angels is sent to the lower realm as envoys, accompanied by masked demon bodyguards assigned to protect them. As the journey unfolds, one angel begins to question the long-held assumptions about demons after discovering that they may share more similarities than expected.
Manga Mavericks Books will also continue two of its existing digital series this spring. Zigoku’s Foreman returns with its second volume on May 26. The supernatural workplace comedy follows Mizuchi, a reluctant employee working in a chaotic underworld environment filled with monsters, demons, and unusual challenges. The new volume continues his misadventures as he balances dangerous duties with strange encounters in the supernatural world.
Another returning title is Path from Tanuki Temple, which will release its second volume on May 26 as well. The full-color fantasy adventure follows Princess Kikyo and her companion, Yugao, as they travel through magical lands. In the new installment, the pair arrives at the domain of Kikyo’s uncle, the guardian of Lake Uryuu, where they encounter a mysterious creature and uncover new dangers that threaten the region.
The final release in the Spring 2026 lineup is Fishgod, an action-horror manga by Chlona scheduled for a print release on June 30. The story takes place in a world plagued by kaigyo, strange fish creatures capable of walking on land and destroying buildings.
The protagonist, Jaytle Nish, witnessed these creatures consume his parents years earlier while under the command of a mysterious figure dressed in black. Now working as a monster exterminator, he searches for answers while confronting increasingly dangerous threats.
Originally launched as a manga-focused podcast in 2016, Manga Mavericks has grown into a multimedia platform featuring journalism, reviews, and industry coverage. With the introduction of Manga Mavericks Books, the company is expanding further into publishing to support creators and deliver a wide range of manga to readers in North America.
The publisher’s Spring 2026 lineup reflects its focus on eclectic storytelling, offering readers a mix of fantasy adventures, comedic science fiction, supernatural stories, and action-driven narratives as it continues building its catalog.
