Crunchyroll has announced that Season 1 of Oshi no Ko is now available to stream on its platform, with Season 2 scheduled to arrive this spring. The addition broadens access to one of the most widely discussed modern anime titles and allows viewers to revisit the story from its beginning as Season 3 continues its weekly simulcast on Crunchyroll.
In coordination with distribution partners, including HIDIVE, Season 1 launches with newly prepared subtitles in select languages, along with an English dub available at release. Additional subtitle localizations are expected to roll out over the course of the spring season.
Oshi no Ko centers on Ai Hoshino, a rising idol whose secret pregnancy leads her to seek the help of Dr. Gorou Amemiya. Determined to protect her career, Gorou resolves to discreetly deliver her child so she can return to the spotlight without scandal.
On the night before the birth, however, Gorou is murdered by Ai’s obsessive stalker and is reincarnated as her son, Aquamarine Hoshino.
As Aqua grows up within the entertainment industry, he discovers that beneath the glitter of show business lies a far darker reality. The story explores whether he can help his mother ascend to the top while confronting the hidden dangers of fame.

The anime adaptation is based on the award-winning manga written by Aka Akasaka, also known for Kaguya-sama: Love is War, and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari, recognized for Scum’s Wish. The series is directed by Daisuke Hiramaki, with series composition by Jin Tanaka. Animation production is handled by Doga Kobo.
The cast features Takeo Otsuka as Aqua Hoshino, Yurie Igoma as Ruby Hoshino, Megumi Han as Kana Arima, Manaka Iwami as Akane Kurokawa, Rumi Okubo as MEMcho, and Rie Takahashi as Ai Hoshino.
Season 3 takes place six months after the release of “POP IN 2.” With MEMcho’s efforts paying off, B-Komachi approaches a major breakthrough.
Aqua continues to build his reputation as a versatile performer, while Akane advances steadily as an actress. Kana, however, struggles after losing her former brightness. Ruby presses forward in the entertainment industry as she searches for the truth behind Ai and Gorou’s deaths, wielding deception as a strategic tool.
