Yun Ji On Steps Down from ‘Positively Yours’ Following DUI Incident

Actor Yun Ji On has publicly apologized and withdrawn from the upcoming Channel A drama “Positively Yours” after being caught driving under the influence (DUI) earlier this week.

According to a report by News1, Yun Ji On was booked by police on September 16 for drunk driving, prompting the production team of Positively Yours to remove him from the cast.

The drama, which is based on a popular webtoon, had already begun filming when the incident occurred.

Agency Response and Contract Status

Yun Ji On’s former agency, IEUM HASHTAG, confirmed the DUI report and clarified that their exclusive management contract with the actor had expired on July 6.

Although they had continued to support him temporarily during his transition between agencies, they emphasized that they no longer hold exclusive rights to represent him.

“It is true that Yun Ji On was caught by police for drunk driving on September 16. As a result, he has stepped down from Channel A’s new drama Positively Yours,” the agency stated.

Yun Ji On’s Public Apology

Shortly after the news broke, Yun Ji On took to social media to share a personal apology, expressing remorse for his actions.

“While heavily intoxicated to the point that I could not even remember my actions, I made the grave mistake of unlawfully riding a parked motorcycle,” he wrote.

He admitted to all charges, noted that he is cooperating fully with the investigation, and offered a heartfelt apology to fans, viewers, and colleagues.

“Because of my reckless actions, I have hurt and disappointed many people who supported me. I truly have no excuse. I sincerely apologize. I will live with regret and remorse for the rest of my life.”
